About The Event
Role of robotics in the future of gas

The Midlands and London, Southern & Eastern Sections are pleased to host a joint technical event on the role of robotics in the future of gas.

This event will provide an industry update on the technology currently used on live networks, systems in development and the benefits they can deliver to GDNs. The event will also highlight the benefits of the innovation funding made available via Ofgem. At the event the challenges of implementing innovation will also be discussed.

Key areas covered will include:

  • Live gas main inspection
  • Live mains
  • Use of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and autonomous VTOL (vertical take-off and landing) systems to inspect assets

ULC Robotics will provide presentations on the application of robotics across different business processes and pressure tiers of the UK gas distribution network. There will also be presentations on the development of equipment, their applications and outputs.

In addition to this, ULC Robotics will have a variety of gas industry robotic systems on display at the event.

A buffet will be provided at the event with thanks to ULC Robotics.
