About The Event
The Future of Gas II Conference

Taking place 4-5 February at IET London’s Savoy Place, this event will build on the recently-published IPCC special report, Global Warming of 1.5 degrees, which calls on the global community to take urgent action to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.

The conference will bring together a high calibre of speakers who will demonstrate how the UK can decarbonise and the role the gas system will play in this future.

This is a fantastic opportunity to hear the latest views and the developments from speakers representing the industry and government. Delegates will hear about the key challenges and how the broader energy sector is preparing to combat them and engage with the people who are facing these difficulties in the sector.

This conference will be provide an insight into the technologies being designed to partially or fully replace natural gas in the grid. Delegates will also be able to learn about the increasing diversity and complexity of the gas system and the steps being taken to understand, control and regulate it.

Who should attend:

  • Directors of gas suppliers, distributors, end users, equipment manufacturers and researchers
  • Energy sector representatives responsible for innovation, R&D, health and safety, sustainability and green technologies
  • Academia and consultants
  • Risk management professionals
  • Process safety engineers
  • Senior gas engineers who will be affected by the impact of changes in the energy sector
