A YPN and Midlands Section event
About The Event
Technical visit to Fort Dunlop Power Station

Rolls-Royce is hosting a visit to the Fort Dunlop Power Station.

The event will consist of a tour of the facilities, a technical talk of how the facility works, gas turbine technology and a discussion of some of the issues faced.

Fort Dunlop is a 100MWe power station near Birmingham, consisting of two dry low emissions (DLE) aero derivative gas turbines, which was built by Rolls-Royce and is currently operated by RWE.

The power plant is remotely operated by a central control room and uses gas fuel to convert mechanical power into electricity and supplies the grid during times of peak demand.

This will also be a great opportunity for YPN and Midlands members to network.
